How to prepare the GrooveCenter and reset it to a Zero position

Loosen the screw holding the Fence Pin with the small hex key provided. |

Loosen the two set screws of the Collet Pin Plate. left…. |

…and right |

Loosen the set screw of the Zero Stop, so that it can move freely. |

Pull out the Collet Pin Plate approx. 1-1/2 inch. |

Slide open the Carriage, rotate the Fence Pin to vertical and tighten the screw. |

Now slide back the Carriage, the Collet Pin Plate will automatically hook up with the Fence Pin. |

Make sure the Fence Pin stays nested in the half round recess located on the Collet Pin Plate. |

This is how it should look. |

Close the Carriage completely and temporarily fix its position with a rubber band to ensure it stays closed and tight against the rear Carriage Stop. |

Tighten both set screws of the Collet Pin Plate. (Check that it is still properly seated against the Fence Pin). |

Slide the Zero Stop against the Collet Pin Plate and tighten its set screw. |

Reset the Fence Stop in the horizontal position. Make sure the screw is tightened. |

Now your GrooveCenter is ready for action and will make perfectly centered grooves! |
